Karl Bracken is an executive and investor in the consumer industry. Most recently, Karl spent four years as Executive Vice President of Merchandising and Supply Chain at Guitar Center, Inc. Prior to joining Guitar Center, Bracken served as Chief Operating Officer for Beach House Group, a consumer products brand incubator in El Segundo, CA where he oversaw the development and launch of five beauty brands. Before returning to Los Angeles in 2018, Karl spent 15 years at Target in Minneapolis, where he held a variety of senior leadership positions with responsibilities for merchandising, negotiations, inventory planning and allocation, supply chain and benefits and payroll. Karl was also a Mentor for the Techstars + Target program while at Target.
From 2000 to 2002, Karl was an Associate in J.P. Morgan’s Venture Capital Services group which advised and invested in tech startups. In more recent years, Karl founded Ocampo Capital which advises and invests in numerous early-stage consumer companies.
Karl has a MBA in Strategy, Economics and Marketing from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a bachelor’s degree in History and Government from Claremont McKenna College, where he also captained the baseball team.
